Fried Chicken and Football

Football season is upon us! Only 29 more days until kick-off and we can't wait to smell the fresh cut grass of Williams-Brice stadium, hear the opening strains of 2001 and see our boys in Garnet & Black take the field for the first time of the season. Will this be the year? Who knows. What I do know is that I'll be drinking an icy cold beverage, eating fried chicken and tailgating at Seawell's! We gave a sneak peek of their football program ad, now here's the finished product. It was so fun styling and designing this ad and we were excited to do our small part to support South Carolina Athletics. Go Gamecocks!

We've been working an advertisement for Seawell's to be featured in the South Carolina Football program. We love our Gamecocks, so we've had a blast working on our tailgate themed shoot centered around the delicious food from Seawell's. More photos to come, including the finished ad copy!

I have been working with Seawell's on an advertising campaign for a few different publications, including the upcoming issue Carolina Bride magazine. I wanted to get back to the basics and focus on what I feel like is most important when selecting a caterer; their fresh, simply delicious food. This shoot was styled with a few of their yummy offerings {I adore the sweet little barbeque sandwiches!} and the best part? After we got our shot, P and I sat down for a delightful summer picnic.

Cake, please!

So, here's little me

...probably 4 years old and just waiting for my little slice of heaven (a piece of that cake). I've always been a little obsessed with wedding cake and even had my grandmother bake me one (3 tiers and covered in M&M's, no less) for my 10th birthday. Growing up in a family of caterers, I was brought along to the majority of events while my dad, his brothers and the staff finished setting up. This cake was probably baked by either Miss Ruby at Seawell's Caterers in Columbia, SC (http://www.seawellscatering.com) or my grandmother and sits atop her antique silver cake stand...the same cake stand used at my wedding in July 2008. I begged MaMa to bake one of her special cakes for me and she did not disappoint. A 7-tiered wonder of coconut delightfulness. I wish I had a piece now! What kind of cake is your favorite?
