Fiesta Friday

via design*sponge

Love this beyond the big day post from design*sponge. The Mexican wedding cookies, cacti and invitations are so festive and I love the Spanish influence of the venue {Summerour}. The fiesta theme is gaining popularity and these DIY elements can be carried over to a shower or wedding. While I love the fresh color scheme, I think the tissue paper banners in a crisp white would look lovely billowing in a summer breeze, don't you? Happy Friday!

Texas Twosome

The Nichols via Style Me Pretty

This quirky duo has style. Period. I love all of the rustic details and the subtle rock and roll vibe. The bride wore pink and a pompadour. The bridesmaid threw on whatever vintage she was feeling. There's no color scheme, no sense of order and it all works beautifully. Fun fact: forgoing the champagne toast, the couple served guests a tequila shot instead. If that ain't Texas...

Chris {and} Ashley

via 100 Layer Cake

Our dear friends, Chris and Ashley are engaged to be married! Both are super laid back, organic folks and are living the life in the Keys. We couldn't be more thrilled for their upcoming {fingers crossed...beach} nuptials and found this inspiration on 100 Layer Cake. Married in Maui? Sigh. I'd say the decor pretty much takes care of itself. And the best part? Almost all of their guests pitched in one way or another to create such a wonderful event. Chris and Ashley, we know your day will be just as special.

Good Morning, Sunshine!

via Completely Unveiled

Good morning! I am totally inspired by this farm-fresh shoot by Simply Bloom. Gorgeous setting, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous models {love the fratty groom}. It's no secret that I adore vintage inspired events and this engagement session does not disappoint. Although my favorite aspect of the shoot is the rustic tent, many of these details can be included in a bridal tea or breakfast. They even included Julia. Bon Appetit!

Charleston

via design*sponge

Check out this delightful city guide of Charleston, South Carolina from design*sponge. One of my favorite cities, Charleston has a way of stealing your heart from your very first visit. From shopping on King Street to standing in line for some sweet soul food at Jestine's, there is never a shortage of delight in the Holy City. Enjoy!

Come Fly with Me

via Once Wed

I love to travel. I always feel so little-kid excited every time I step on a plane and know that a short while later, I'll be in some exotic {or not so exotic} locale. This wedding by Elizabeth Demos featured on Once Wed, made me long for the days of Pan-Am flights and Ol' Blue Eyes {that would be Mr. Sinatra to you}. The vintage plane theme would be perfect for a destination wedding or maybe for a couple who shared a long-distance romance. Either way, I feel like purchasing a ticket to anywhere...First Class, I'll have the champagne please!

Sweet Snapshot Sunday

via lucky luxe

I want these calling cards! I want to be "for hire"! My card could read, "planner for hire" or "stylist for hire". Maybe I'll be an "etiquette advisor". If you could be "for hire", what would you be?

Sunday Soiree

via design*sponge

Greetings from New Orleans! I don't know what it is about this city, but when I'm here, I want to celebrate with every meal. Whether it's the slow city strolls or the late night jazz sessions, my lazy day celebrations begin with brunch. This delightful pancake party found on design*sponge puts me in a NOLA state of mind. From the pretty pastel paper chain mobiles to the supercute short stacks, this photo shoot makes me want to sit in the Spring sunshine and shoot the breeze. Pimm's cup anyone?

Heading to the Crescent City? Check out EAT and Stanley {new faves} for all your brunch needs.
