Call to the Post

via Martha Stewart Weddings

This weekend marks the annual Carolina Cup in Camden, South Carolina. All of Palmetto's finest will be out and about at Springdale Race Course in their Spring fancies. To honor this tradition, here are some photos from one of my favorite weddings ever to be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings. This delightful event took place at Saratoga Springs in 2004 and may I say, was well before it's time. I love the delightful equestrian details such as the trophy centerpieces, horseshoe theme,"Thoroughbred Cooler" signature cocktail and supercute "souvenir". Have fun at the Cup and have a drink for me!

Rooftop Wedding

via Style Me Pretty {click here for more photos}

Normally, modern is not my thing, I'm a vintage girl through and through. However, when I saw this wedding from Hannah Bergman Photography, I may have swooned a little {okay, alot}. First of all, it contains two of my very favorite things: white pumpkins and a crisp {orange} color scheme. The fact that it was held on top of a parking garage makes it even better. As a designer always on the lookout for creative use of space, I just love the idea of creating a venue to fit your needs, not the other way around. The best part? The bride was able to get her skyline view for f.r.e.e. Enjoy and Happy Friday!

Spring is in the air!

via Style Me Pretty {click here for more photos}

I recently styled a table for my friend Courtney's tea party {post to come}. However, I was delighted to find this similar photoshoot on Style Me Pretty today. I am so excited to see couples and designers take what inspires them and turn it into an amazing event. The inspiration for this shoot: interior stylist, Eddie Ross. I love the little details such as the zebra runner with tiny zebras at each place setting. The crazy mix of colors just puts me in the best mood!

I am in love with this magnificent wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Everything is just so green, so lush, so...french. The croquembouche wedding cake! The dried lavender favors! That dress! J'adore! Enjoy the lovely eye candy and bring on Spring.

Irish Blessing

via Style Me Pretty

I just love the darling details in this traditional Irish wedding photo-shoot featured on Style Me Pretty. From shots of Guinness with a little clover garnish to the beautiful ribbon used in the handfasting ceremony to the gorgeous cake with sugar clovers {although I think I'm lusting more for the primitive mantle on which it resides}. Just gorgeous! See more images here.

Rachel{and}Ross

I have been waiting on inspiration all day and {finally!} here it is. The vibrant colors and whimsical details from this Louisiana couple's wedding makes me a happy girl. The scraps of fabric make such a stunning backdrop for the delightful dessert bar covered in a vintage tablecloth. I am in love with the fabulous lightbulb chandelier and that blue cake {the peacock feather detailing is superb!}. I am also crushing on the bride's vintage Henri Bendel dress and just picked wildflower bouquet. Perfection!

Chocolate Butterbean

Silhouette Wedding Sign via Chocolate Butterbean

I must say, it was with great anticipation that I first met the adorable Joni Lay of Chocolate Butterbean. I came across her delightful website and knew that I needed to work with her on something {anything!}. I had been in the market for quite some time looking for a handpainted sign of the High Cotton logo and she was just the woman for the job! Chocolate Butterbean creates custom stationery, signage and branding; all with {as CB says} a southern flavor. I am truly in awe of Joni's talent and will be working with her on the branding of Fig{and}Pheasant as well as High Cotton in the near future {so stay tuned!}.

You know I delight in anything from my home state. Beautiful Palmetto Suite via Chocolate Butterbean
